World's Tallest Brick Building: Günbed-i Kabus

The Günbed-i Kabus, which is the most important historical building from the Ziyari Dynasty period in the Turkmensahra region of Iran, is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List and has a unique position among cultural structures with its architectural and structural features.

Built in 1006 by the order of the Emir of Ziyari Dynasty, Kabus bin Veşmgir, Günbed-i Kabus defies the years as symbolizing the golden age of Islamic civilization.

Günbed-i Kabus, where red brick stone and lime are used as building materials, has a height of approximately 53 meters on a 15-meter hill. The work, which is considered to be the tallest structure in the world with its cylindrical body designed in the shape of a 10-pointed star, has the characteristics of traditional Seljuk and Islamic architecture in its texture.

The building, which attracted the attention of both domestic and foreign tourists with its height and magnificent stance despite the past years, has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2012.
